Graduate Assistant - Athletics and Recreation, Athletics Operations
Position Description
The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.
Overview
The graduate assistant will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of home athletic events, as well as support the overall operations of the athletics department. This role ensures a positive experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators while maintaining efficient department operations.
Core Duties
  • Assist in the setup, management, and breakdown of home athletic events, including but not limited to, game-day operations, ticketing, and crowd control.
  • Ensure that all athletic facilities are prepared and maintained for events, including fi eld/court setup, equipment management, and cleanliness.
  • Serve as a liaison between the athletics department, coaches, athletes, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and managing student employees for various event-related tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to the athletics department, including scheduling event staff , record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Ensure all assigned home events comply with NCAA Division III and BSU policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Leadership experience as an undergraduate student.
