Opportunity

Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) seeks an Executive Assistant to join a mission-driven organization committed to reducing barriers and strengthening community well-being. This role offers meaningful work with measurable community impact, a collaborative and supportive organizational culture, and the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership. Hybrid work eligibility is available following successful onboarding.

CAPSC operates with an annual budget of approximately $19 million and a staff of 147, delivering essential services—including food security, housing, early childhood education, utilities assistance, transportation, and emergency shelter—across 13 communities in Strafford County, New Hampshire.

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner to the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team, providing high-level administrative, operational, and coordination support. This role ensures smooth executive operations, proactive calendar and priority management, and effective communication across the organization. The Executive Assistant also oversees front office operations and supervises reception, helping maintain a professional, efficient, and welcoming workplace.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, discreet, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage executive calendars, schedules, meetings, and logistics; proactively anticipate conflicts and shifting priorities;
  • Serve as a gatekeeper for executive communications, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including facilities coordination, vendors, supplies, and administrative systems;
  • Helps front desk/reception functions and support a positive visitor experience;
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and tracking tools using Microsoft Office and related platforms;
  • Create and maintain digital tracking systems, dashboards, and records;
  • Support executive meetings, projects, and organizational events as needed;

 Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience (five or more years preferred)
  • Strong executive-level calendar management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, and discretion
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 tools
  • Familiarity with Strafford County and local community resources is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle (or acceptable alternative)
  • Ability to attend meetings or events as required
