We are searching for the best talent for a Transportation Operations Manager, located in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The Transportation Operations Manager for IM Make will play a critical role in establishing and scaling transportation ownership, governance, compliance, and operational excellence across the North America Innovative Medicine Make network, beginning with the Gurabo manufacturing site. This position will support implementation of a centralized transportation operating model, support transportation quality and compliance requirements, lead carrier and supplier management, transportation visibility, control tower integration, and cost improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a key transportation leader working across Make, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Trade Compliance, Finance, and Logistics organizations to develop a scalable transportation capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the transportation business leader for IM Make operations and establish transportation ownership, governance, and accountability across supported manufacturing and supplier networks.
  • Lead implementation of transportation operating models supporting Innovative Medicine manufacturing, including transportation planning, execution, carrier strategy, issue resolution, visibility, and performance management.
  • Partner with manufacturing sites, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Global Trade Controls, and transportation providers to ensure compliant, reliable, and cost-effective transportation execution.
  • Support lane mapping, Transportation Risk Assessments, Shipment Route Verification activities, carrier qualifications, transportation master data development, and governance processes required to support IM Make transportation.
  • Develop and implement routing guidance, transportation standards, escalation processes, transportation performance metrics, and business continuity plans.
  • Drive carrier management activities, supplier transportation integration, sourcing support, transportation optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead transportation workstreams associated with New Product Introductions, network strategy initiatives, technology transfers, manufacturing expansions, and supply chain transformation activities.
  • Identify, prioritize, and deliver transportation Cost Improvement Programs, savings opportunities, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with transportation visibility and control tower providers to implement centralized transportation execution, intake, booking, reporting, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Provide leadership reporting, business updates, KPI management, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior supply chain and transportation leadership.
  • Transportation budget responsibility for scope includes forecasting, actuals tracking, cost reductions, and freight audit support.
  • Take personal accountability for making Credo-based decisions and fostering a Credo-based culture.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline is required.
  • Master's degree (MBA/MS) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Transportation, Logistics, Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, transportation execution, carrier management, and logistics processes.
  • Experience working within complex, highly matrixed organizations and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities, drive execution, and deliver results against established milestones and deadlines.
  • Experience using data analytics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and influence business decisions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Experience collaborating with external logistics service providers, carriers, suppliers, and internal business partners.
  • Demonstrated financial and operational acumen, including transportation cost management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Preferred Pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or GMP-regulated industry experience.
  • Transportation Management System, transportation visibility platform, or control tower experience.
  • Carrier sourcing, transportation procurement, and network optimization experience.
  • Experience supporting Transportation Risk Assessments, quality investigations, transportation compliance, and regulated supply chains.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introductions and supply chain transformation initiatives.
  • Project Management, FPX, Lean Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, or similar professional certification.
