Salary: $21 -$34/hour. Compensation packages may be higher/lower than what is listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, education and class level.
The internship is for an individual who wants to broaden their skills and take on diverse responsibilities as part of a fast-growing advanced medical technology company that will impact millions of lives.
This position is a key part of the business and performs duties essential to the smooth and efficient running of operations.
The internship provides hands-on exposure to Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering concepts, including time studies, operational data collection, capacity analysis, and Lean tools. This role builds foundational skills critical for individuals looking to develop a career in operations, manufacturing excellence, and process improvement. The majority of training will be on-the-job (OTJ) through active participation in improvement initiatives and support of multiple business functions.
Typical duties include:
  • Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to support operational planning and efficiency improvements
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data, applying Lean tools to solve operational problems
  • Assist in the development of process flows and layout improvements to optimize efficiency and flow
  • Assist in the creation of operational tools (templates, trackers, dashboards) to improve data transparency
  • Support documentation, change management, and sustainability of implemented improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support Operational Excellence objectives

Qualifications
  1. Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
  1. Ability to work effectively and confidently in a team-based, cross-functional environment
  1. Strong analytical/critical thinking and organizational skills
  1. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  1. MS Office proficiency with emphasis on Excel
