Responsibilities

As the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for driving the operational and strategic initiatives of the market. This leader reports directly to the Senior Vice President, General Manager for the market and oversees multiple functional areas, including Door-to-Door (D2D) Sales, Community & Events, Facilities/Warehouse, and Field Services, ensuring these functions operate efficiently and align with the company’s broader goals.
This leadership position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on operational management, and the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration. As Ezee Fiber’s boots-on-the-ground operational leader, the Director will play a critical role in guiding market growth, optimizing operational performance, and enhancing profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

Market Launch & Execution: Own the Michigan market launch from strategy through execution. Set the operating plan, align it to long-term company objectives, and adjust quickly as real-time field, permitting, and commercial conditions change.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop cross-functional regional teams across construction, engineering, operations, customer install, and support. Drive accountability, fast decision-making, and tight coordination so the market moves as one unit.
Operational Excellence: Deliver the network on schedule and on budget while holding the line on quality and safety. Remove roadblocks for project managers and field teams, prioritize critical path work, and keep production aligned with transport, light path readiness, and revenue targets.
Financial Management: Own the market P&L. Allocate capital and resources where they produce the highest return; track performance against forecasts; and implement cost controls without slowing production or impacting customer experience.
Stakeholder & Municipal Relations: Serve as the lead for municipal relationships across the region. Build and maintain partnerships with city leadership, engineering, and permitting teams; act as the primary point for escalations; and ensure Ezee Fiber is viewed as the most responsive and trusted operator in every community we enter.
Performance Reporting: Establish and lead the reporting cadence for the region. Use production, financial, and service data to measure performance, identify gaps, and course-correct early. Provide clear, actionable updates to the SVP & General Manager and other senior leaders.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all state, local, and company standards across permitting, construction, restoration, and customer operations. Establish quality assurance processes that scale as the regional footprint grows and protect the company’s brand in every community.
