Job description

Job Responsibilities Are you an experienced professional looking for new opportunities to further your career. The South Carolina Governor's School for Agriculture is seeking a hardworking and dependable candidate just like you to apply. This position will offer great benefits with the state, including 15 days of annual and sick leave per year or more depending on applicable state service.

THIS IS AN INTERNAL POSTING ONLY. Serves as a senior leader to the President on a variety of school operation matters. Serves as the HR Liaison to Shared Services Human Resources, manages Title IV for the School, and manages the volunteer program for all school activities.

The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Serve as the Human Resources Liaison for the School for Shared Services Human Resources (SSHR) for all HR-related matters. Manages the on-boarding of new staff and manages in-house agency human resources matters. Manages teacher compensation program at JDLH.

Oversees the annual certification review and teacher pay plan implementation at JDLH. Provides senior level oversight and management of all internal communications related to school operations and personnel matters. Ensures proper communications and messaging is in place to maintain agency alignment with executive leadership's organizational vision.

Manages all staff training to include mandatory trainings for procurement, ethics, CPR. required Vector Solutions modules, onboarding training, and driver training. Serve as the Title IV Director for the school.

Ensure the School is in compliance with Title IX in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. Routinely conduct needs assessments to identify priorities for Title IV activities. Leads and manages all volunteer operations for the school.

Direct all school volunteers and staff helpers across every department. Run background checks and check safety records before volunteers are allowed to work with students on campus. Ensure all school safety policies and laws are followed by visitors.

Act as the main link between the school, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). and community organizations. Coordinate all non-employee use of school buildings and grounds.

Leads and provides strategic oversight of three key decision-making committees at the school: The Strategic Planning Committee, the Campus Communication Committee, and the Policy Review Committee. Leads action plans based on decisions made by these committees. Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and professional experience related to the position. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of administrative and business management principles, practices and procedures. Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the administrative/business management activities of the organization.

Knowledge of governmental fiscal policies, practices and procedures. Ability to plan, organize and direct administrative and support activities and staff. Ability to formulate and implement administrative policies and procedures.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively. Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application will be required to bring a copy of college transcript to the interview.
