Job description

Position Summary... What you'll do...Role summary:
We are hiring a Senior Manager to serve as the business product owner for Walmart's Last-Mile Delivery Search, Arrival & Matching platform. You will own one or more pillars - driver search, arrival staggering, or trip matching - and operate as the analytical and strategic layer between data science, engineering, and operations. You'll shape the product roadmap from a business perspective, pressure-test model outputs, and make recommendations that stick in senior reviews. The right candidate forms original points of view from raw data, works natively in AI tools, and is comfortable making the call with imperfect information.
About the team:
Walmart’s Last-Mile Delivery team integrates real-time intelligence with physical logistics, supporting a Spark Driver network that reaches 94% of U.S. households nationwide. The Search, Arrival & Matching organization manages critical systems determining offer distribution, arrival timing, and trip fulfillment. This team operates in a fast-paced, technically advanced environment with significant national impact. Members apply expertise in data science, machine learning, and analytics to develop scalable solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional partners drives innovation and operational excellence, ensuring efficient delivery experiences while advancing Walmart’s strategic goals in logistics and technology.
What you'll do:
- Own the analytical and strategic layer for components of driver search, arrival staggering, and trip matching - serving as the business voice alongside technical partners - Lead business case development for roadmap investments - quantifying opportunity, sizing tradeoffs, and establishing success criteria - Apply AI tools as a core part of daily workflow - accelerating analysis, synthesizing signals, and scaling analytical output across the org. - Translate complex model outputs, experiment results, and platform telemetry into clear recommendations for senior leadership. - Lead cross-functional workstreams - align engineers, scientists, and operators around a shared plan and hold the work accountable to outcomes
What you'll bring:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, product or business operations in a technology-driven organization. - Demonstrated fluency with AI tools - you use them daily, you know their limits, and you build workflows around them. - Strong quantitative skills and statistical understanding: writes SQL, builds analytical models, and derives original insights from raw data. - Clear, structured communicator - able to compress complex analysis into an exec-ready narrative without losing precision. - Track record of making and defending business recommendations under ambiguity. - Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams or workstreams and drive outcomes through influence and clarity of direction. At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
