Location: Fort Worth, TX (Manufacturing Facility)

Summary Objective

The Operations Controller serves as the finance business partner for Jacksonville operations and is responsible for operational financial performance, compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role supports manufacturing leadership through financial analysis, forecasting, cost accounting oversight, and continuous improvement efforts that drive operational efficiency and business performance.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain financial compliance and internal controls in support of audit requirements.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Manage costing, labor, and material financial processes for plant operations.
  • Support operations with productivity, inflation, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and report financial performance while analyzing operating results and trends.
  • Prepare management reporting and analyses for monthly operating reviews.
  • Partner cross-functionally with site leadership to improve operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor accounts payable and goods received not invoiced.
  • Assist in development of budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and scorecards.
  • Perform business case analysis and investment recommendations.
  • Support major projects including footprint optimization and ERP/MRP implementations.
  • Participate in additional finance and operational projects as needed.

Work Location

This position will work out of our Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth,TX. Monday through Thursday onsite and Friday remote.

Work Environment
Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to SEA Fabrication Shop for observation and research are required.


Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday onsite and Friday remote.

Travel
Anticipated travel up to 10% for this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary. Occasional travel to customer job sites and conferences may be required.

Required Education and Experience.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 8 years of accounting experience with manufacturing or cost accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems and financial reporting required.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree or professional certification such as CMA, CFA, CPA, or MBA preferred. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, or Alteryx preferred.
