Job description

Under the direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) Buyer provides essential support to production, maintenance, and engineering teams by procuring quality parts and services in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate processing and documentation of all purchasing transactions, with a focus on minimizing total costs while maintaining required service levels. You will also monitor, control, and track budget expenditures to support overall operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with vendors and coworkers.
  • Create purchase orders for maintenance and operations.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, evaluating vendors and their performance.
  • Collaborate with finance to correct tracking and data errors.
  • Manage all standard and credit card purchase orders status/age.
  • Oversee maintenance shop equipment supplies and operating supplies
  • Develop a strong understanding of suppliers and capabilities.
  • Maintain a healthy GRIR Report.
  • Investigate & report to maintenance manager cycle count differences & percentages
  • Owner of the Grainger VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Program for the site
  • Owner of the PM Pillar Storeroom DMS (Data Management System)
  • Prepares part masters, inventory cost, item lists, catalog, out of stock, usage, and similar computer reports for management
  • Supervise two storeroom clerks
  • Train and advise mechanics on SAP transaction skills.
  • Assist storeroom clerk with inventory control and stock level.

Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • 3+ years Inventory storeroom experience
  • Experience with SAP or CMMS systems
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • High school or GED diploma
  • Maintenance purchasing experience
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Previous supervisory experience required, as this role will support supervisor functions, including weekend rotation, covering absences, assisting with off-shift coverage, and ensuring adherence to standard work processes.

Relocation assistance is available for this position. Preference will be given to local candidates.

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation
Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
