This is a high-impact role designed for a builder who wants to accelerate their career in the People space. You will partner directly with our People Partners to drive performance management, employee engagement, and data analytics. If you are passionate about maximizing the employee experience, solving complex problems at scale, and want to grow alongside a rapidly scaling tech organization, this is your launchpad.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our office in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.

What You'll Do
  • Drive the Employee Journey: Partner cross-functionally (People Partners, Recruiting, Comp, Finance, HRIS) to execute a seamless, world-class employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights: Leverage our tools and HRIS to build out reporting, transforming raw data into actionable insights for People Partners and business leaders.
  • Elevate the Daily Experience: Serve as the crucial first line of support for complex employee inquiries (benefits, payroll, mobility, immigration), ensuring a frictionless experience.
  • Build & Scale Programs: Co-pilot key talent programs, including performance management cycles, Pulse engagement surveys, and recognition initiatives.
  • Optimize for Scale: Proactively identify process bottlenecks and assist in the rollout, communication, and change management of new People initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Experience: 3+ years in an HR or People Operations role, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
  • Education: BA/BS degree required (MBA or Master's degree is a strong plus).
  • Systems Savvy: Strong technical proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and Excel.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with senior leadership.
  • The Verkada Mindset: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Location: This role operates in-person from our high-energy headquarters in San Mateo, CA. Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in-office.
