Job description

About MealSuite
MealSuite builds end-to-end foodservice technology for healthcare and senior living organizations. Our mission is to help care teams deliver better dining experiences with less effort. We're a fast-growing team working on meaningful problems that directly impact patient and resident care.

About the Role
We're looking for an Operations Excellence Co-Op Student to join our Operations team, supporting our Project Management Office (PMO). This is a project coordination and operations support role embedded in Operations and the PMO, reporting to the VP, Operations and working closely with the PMO team. You will help us make progress on a few key operational priorities as we scale by supporting our Project Managers and partner teams, rather than owning delivery or accountability for their work. This co-op position runs for the September 2026 - December 2026 co-op term.

What You'll Do

  • Provide project coordination and PMO support, including data gathering, status tracking, and documentation that helps our Project Managers move work forward
  • Support teams in setting up and rolling out a centralized process repository and templates, helping standardize structure and capture workflows where teams are ready, with each team retaining ownership of its own processes and diagrams
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to support existing reporting initiatives through light analysis, data preparation, and help operationalizing dashboards
  • Provide targeted support to a defined process improvement and continuous improvement pilot, including mapping current state processes and identifying inefficiencies within a scoped project
  • Support one or two defined AI use cases, such as documentation support or reporting efficiency, to deliver tangible outcomes

You'll Also Work on the Following Projects:

  • Support the setup and rollout of a centralized Operations process repository and SOP templates, driving initial capture where teams are ready while ownership stays within each function (approximately 6 weeks to complete)
  • Map current state processes within a defined pilot area and identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities (scoped project)
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to support and help operationalize existing dashboards and standard metrics reporting (ongoing support, light analysis and data preparation)
  • Support one or two defined AI use cases, such as documentation support or reporting efficiency, with clear, measurable outcomes (defined scope)

What You Bring

  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with a Canadian institution in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Health Administration, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Basic understanding of AI tools and workflow automation platforms
  • Understanding of process mapping and workflow documentation
  • Experience with digital productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar)
  • Meticulous attention to accuracy and an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and quality management principles (Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Quality Management, etc.) considered an asset
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Active listening skills, demonstrating attention to stakeholder needs, the ability to ask clarifying questions, and confirm understanding before acting
  • The ability to build relationships across different business functions and show a team-oriented attitude
  • Proactive communication and willingness to flag issues early, provide regular progress updates, and the confidence to escalate blockers without prompting
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

Compensation: $21.67 - $31.53 CAD per hour (as determined by work term)

This role requires working onsite in our Cambridge office (96 Grand Ave S Unit 101, Cambridge, ON N1S 2L9) two days per week
