Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)

Position: We are growing and seeking Operations Manager. You will be responsible for leading and directing warehouse and operations by maintaining product inventory, accuracy and timeliness of deliveries, product storage and warehouse housekeeping. You will coach and develop team members to ensure that the functions of the warehouse and delivery process continuously operate safely and efficiently.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by leading and managing a variety of logistics functions.
  • Manage department heads and lead associates to ensure efficient warehouse and delivery operations.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of activities and employee’s performance.
  • Ensure shipments and inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate expectations and coach employees; hire and transition as needed.
  • Provide training and day-to-day job direction to all warehouse and delivery personnel.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Ensuring warehouse staff and delivery driver’s work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • This role is a safety sensitive position, subject to routine drug screenings.
