Responsibilities

Primary focus of this role is to continuously strive for improvements through network optimization, KPI development/management, budget/cost control, 3PL management, and logistics optimization projects to deliver quality products to our customers on time at competitive logistics cost. Position will be working in the corporate environment (some travels to warehouses for improvement projects & 3PL management).

  • Network Optimization - Work with Biz unit to understand changes/volume/initiatives to develop optimal network to support logistics
  • KPI Development - Develop KPI to monitor/manage overall logistics cost as well as the safety, quality, delivery, and inventory
  • Cost Management - Closely monitor and manage cost associated with each parts of logistics (inbound/warehouse/supplies/equipment/warehouse lease/etc.,)
  • 3PL Management - Stay on top of operation status as well as contracted scope of work/KPI to ensure 3PLs deliver quality service to meet customer needs
  • Develope strategy and propose solutions on various distribution tasks and logistics projects
  • Set KPI Targets, suggest Cost Savings/Optimization Ideas, and develope 3PL Management Tools
  • Fully understand Distribution/Inbound Operation as well as systems (TMS/WMS/ERP/YMS) and develop strategy on how to effectively manage operation, 3PL, and logistics cost
  • KPI Development, Multi DC Network Strategy, Capacity Planning, DC Level Forecast, 3PL Management Strategy and Tools
  • Opertional readiness/3PL Mgmt that will impact sales, forecast accuracy, Optimization/Cost Savings initiatives based on ROI/Lead Time
  • Support/Impacts Sales from each warehouse in US, Impacts Forecast/Inventory Balancing as well as Logistics costs & bottom line costs for all products
  • Warehouse Capacity Planning, Improve on time shipping, on time delivery, reduce returns, improve quality, reduce logistics cost through multiple projects Will cover all shipments going to customers in 50 states
  • Network change suggestions, distribution optimization, strategic planning and control based on market surveys, labor market, and logistic cost, etc.
  • Storage/Operations by Product, Compliance/Routing Guide by Customer, Picking/Storage Strategy as well as how to contract and manage 3PL/Operation
  • Communicate operational strategy with key stakeholders in SCM & Biz Units & HQ
  • Communicate operation status & KPI/Cost review, system changes/enhancements, and IT hardware setup with with all warehouses and FNS/Pantos/CNS partners
  • Bidding & negotiation for contracts & terms for warehouse 3PL, warehouse lease, forklift, pallet, and accessorial charges
  • Coach and develop junior team members on warehousing & distribution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or SCM/Logistics with 7+ years of experience in Distribution/Operation & 3PL/KPI management
  • Bilingual capability in English and Korean is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of the warehouse and distribution management
  • Knowledge of both warehouse network design and capacity planning
  • Strong analytics skills and extensive experiences are required accompanies with Excel, Powerpoint and reporting skillsets are required
  • Extensive depth of knowledge of the warehouse operation and 3PL industry is required
  • Six Sigma Black Belt & PPM is a plus
