The Product Owner, Operations analytics role serves as the primary IT business partner for Operations reporting, analytics, dashboards, and supporting data workflows. This role owns the Operations Analytics Portfolio, partnering closely with Operations leadership and subject matter experts to define priorities, develop the analytics roadmap, and drive delivery of high-value reporting and business intelligence solutions.

This position will lead the rationalization, consolidation, modernization, and expansion of Operations reporting, dashboards, and supporting Power Platform solutions. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage enterprise data assets, eliminate redundant reporting, develop new analytics capabilities, and improve operational decision-making through trusted analytics. Working collaboratively with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, ERP, and external delivery partners, the Product Owner, will establish and execute the long-term roadmap for Operations analytics solutions, including both enhancement of existing capabilities and delivery of new business-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Operations stakeholders and IT for analytics, reporting, dashboard, and data workflow initiatives.
  • Own and manage the Operations Analytics Portfolio, including roadmap development, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and value realization for reporting, dashboard, and data workflow initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations leadership and SMEs to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and prioritize technology investments.
  • Lead the inventory, assessment, rationalization, consolidation, and modernization of Operations reporting, dashboards, and supporting Power Platform solutions.
  • Evaluate existing reports and data workflows to determine whether solutions should be retired, consolidated, enhanced, or rebuilt using enterprise data assets.
  • Define business requirements, process flows, acceptance criteria, and success measures for analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for Operations analytics, reporting, and workflow automation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, ERP, and vendor teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, governance, and reporting standards.
  • Promote adoption of enterprise datasets, common metrics, and standardized reporting practices across Operations.
  • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of Power BI reports, dashboards, and supporting Power Platform solutions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and solution adoption activities.
  • Analyze business data and processes to identify trends, performance improvement opportunities, and operational risks.
  • Document business processes, reporting requirements, solution designs, and operating procedures.
  • Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for Operations analytics solutions and related data workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics and business intelligence working with ERP data.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting operations functions.
  • Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize work, and deliver technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success managing analytics, reporting, process improvement, or ERP-related initiatives.
  • Experience working through system migrations, ERP implementations, or large-scale business transformation projects.
  • Fluency with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar reporting and ETL platforms.
  • Experience working with ERP data and business processes.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Ability to analyze and document business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Understanding of data governance, reporting standards, and enterprise analytics concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate competing solutions and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across business and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with ERP reporting, operational data models, and manufacturing analytics.
  • Experience leading report rationalization, analytics modernization, or data transformation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, semantic models, and enterprise reporting architectures.
  • Experience with Low-Code/No-Code technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, life sciences, or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Microsoft Power Platform certifications, or similar credentials.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional travel to manufacturing sites as needed (approximately 10-15%).
  • Flexibility to work across time zones to support global teams and vendors.
Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $96,000-$142,000.
