Job description

Senior Business Analyst, Operations

The Senior Business Analyst, Operations will focus on conducting in-depth analysis of business performance, identify trends, and generate actionable insights for both ID Logistics and customer leadership teams. This role is primarily data driven and analytics-oriented, requiring the ability to synthesize complex data, and developing findings, and present them in clear, impactful reports that guide strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Power BI and Excel with experience creating dashboards.

Monday - Friday, 1st shift

25% (Based on Business Needs)

Attractive annual salary of $90,000-$100,000 plus a performance-based bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Operations and Analysis: Lead extensive efforts, analyzing large data sets to identify emerging trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of business performance across different sectors, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance operations.

Operations Reporting and Visualization:

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
  • Ensure all outputs are aligned with business objectives and presented clearly to both internal teams and customers.

Customer and Leadership Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership teams (from Managers to General Managers) to define key operations questions, deliver insights, and tailor reports to customer needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on findings, advising leadership on potential improvements based on data analysis.

Custom Operations Analysis Requests:

  • Manage and respond to ad-hoc requests from both internal teams and customers, ensuring thorough analysis and timely delivery of findings.
  • Monitor key business and financial performance indicators, tracking trends over time and providing insights into potential areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Perform regular analyses of contractual KPIs and SLAs, and advise on any challenges or opportunities identified through evaluation.

Continuous Improvement of Practices:

  • Work with IT and Internal Systems teams to explore automated data collection and reporting capabilities, ensuring data is accurate and efficient.
  • Maintain a focus on innovation, identifying new tools or methodologies that could enhance data collection or analysis processes.

Strategic Data Analysis Support:

  • Assist senior leadership teams in strategic decision-making by forecasting future trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights into budgetary forecasts, financial performance, and operational efficiencies.
  • This position is ideal for an analytical thinker who thrives in-driven roles and is passionate about using data to inform business strategies and drive improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience creating dashboards and delivering data.
  • Expert experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Strong ability to interpret and present complex data trends and statistical findings.
  • Expertise in identifying key metrics and performance drivers.
  • Proven ability to address complex questions and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple business analyst projects and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, economics, statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Work experience in an E-Commerce or 3PL environment a plus.
  • Operations experience in a warehouse environment with KPIs and SLAs a plus.
