Job description

Role Overview
The Strategy & Analytics Manager is a strategic, highly experienced analytics partner responsible for driving advanced insights, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across the Field Service organization. This role requires deep operational understanding, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence senior leaders through high-quality analysis, executive-level storytelling, and proactive problem solving.
In addition to supporting day-to-day operational decision-making, the Strategy & Analytics Manager plays a critical role in supporting growth initiatives by partnering with Commercial Finance to project staffing needs, model costs, and evaluate new business opportunities. This role also leads improvements in data quality, reporting, and analytics capabilities, acting as a key liaison between Field Service, IT, and Finance.
What You Will Do
Strategic Operational Analytics & Insights
  • Lead advanced analysis of operational, financial, and performance data to identify systemic inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and scalability improvements.

  • Develop and oversee executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and reporting frameworks using Excel and Power BI.

  • Provide Field Service leadership with forward-looking insights that drive productivity, utilization, service quality, and margin performance.

  • Set analytical standards and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of data across the organization.

Financial, Staffing & New Business Support
  • Partner closely with Commercial Finance to support new business pursuits through staffing projections, operational cost modeling, and scenario analysis.

  • Lead workforce and capacity modeling to align staffing strategies with demand, productivity assumptions, and growth plans.

  • Support long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting by linking operational drivers to financial outcomes.

  • Identify and quantify efficiency and cost-reduction opportunities aligned with Field Service and enterprise financial goals.

Driving Action & Measurable Outcomes
  • Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations, prioritized action plans, and measurable operational and financial impacts.

  • Advise Field Service leadership on trade-offs, risks, and expected outcomes of strategic and operational decisions.

  • Track performance against improvement initiatives and communicate progress, results, and realized savings.

Data, Reporting & Process Leadership
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, governance, reporting automation, and analytics maturity across Field Service.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Field Service and IT for analytics requirements, system enhancements, and reporting solutions.

  • Reduce manual reporting effort through scalable, repeatable, and automated data solutions.

  • Mentor and guide analysts or operational partners on analytical approaches and reporting best practices (where applicable).

Executive & Customer-Facing Communication
  • Develop polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate insights, recommendations, and strategic implications.

  • Confidently present findings to senior internal leadership and high-level customer contacts.

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner and advisor, influencing decisions with data-backed insight and clear narrative.

Project Management
  • Manage and track progress on initiatives that directly impact data integrity.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including advanced modeling and complex analysis.

  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard design, data modeling, and insight storytelling.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in operations analytics, data analytics, or a similar role, with increasing scope and responsibility.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior operational leadership and Commercial Finance.

  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to data, reporting, or systems improvement initiatives.

  • Experience supporting field service, logistics, or service-based operations strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Collaboration
  • Office based role with occasional travel to customer sites

  • Hybrid work environment (Daniels Office & Home Office)

  • Works cross-functionally with Field Service leadership, IT Commercial Finance, Executive Leadership and other enterprise stakeholders.
