We are looking for a talented individual to join our Supply Chain team as a Supply Chain Analyst. In this role, you will support a wide range of transportation, reporting, and operational analytics responsibilities that help ensure the smooth flow of products and information throughout our supply chain. From monitoring data integrity and developing reporting tools to coordinating shipments and resolving logistics issues, this role plays an important part in supporting visibility, decision-making, and the exceptional customer experience Vortex is known for.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor, validate, and improve data accuracy within business systems to support effective supply chain decision-makingย 
  • Investigate data discrepancies, determine root causes, and drive practical long-term solutions
  • Monitor inbound purchase orders, receipts, and shipment activity to ensure timely and accurate flow of informationย 
  • Assist with coordinating international shipments including ocean, air, and parcel movements while helping manage exceptions and delays
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data analysis to support supply chain visibility and decision-making
  • Serve as a key user within the supply chain planning system by monitoring data integrity, troubleshooting discrepancies, and supporting daily system operations
  • Review transportation-related charges and documentation for accuracy and assist with freight claim resolution
  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers and logistics partners through clear communication, responsiveness, and collaborationย 
  • Analyze supply chain and transportation data to identify trends, visibility gaps, and opportunities for operational improvement
  • Partner with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to proactively identify and resolve transportation and supply chain issuesย 
  • Support additional supply chain and logistics responsibilities as business needs evolve
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, charts, graphs, and lookups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with and interpret large datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, and process improvement opportunities
  • General understanding of supply chain operations including planning, purchasing and procurement, inventory flow, and transportation/logistics
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative to drive projects forward with little direction
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and continuous change
  • Able to effectively prioritize workload and manage competing internal and external requestsย 
  • Highly service oriented with a strong focus on supporting internal teams and external partners
  • Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a desire for ongoing growth and learning
  • Able to work effectively both collaboratively and independently
  • Experience working with ERP, planning, or business reporting systems and an understanding of how integrated business data supports supply chain operations and decision-making

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and data visualization tools preferred
  • Experience working with transportation, logistics, or supply chain reporting and analytics
  • Experience working with ERP or planning system data maintenance and reporting
  • Experience creating or maintaining operational reports, dashboards, or data analysis tools
