Position Overview
UVIMCO is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team. The Operations Analyst will be an integral part of an eight-person team that manages UVIMCO's investment operations. The position will report to the Senior Operations Associate and primary responsibilities will include: cash management and reconciliation, investment accounting, valuation, and reporting, audit and tax support, data management, and other ad-hoc duties as assigned. The Operations Analyst will work closely with internal teams across investment, legal, and risk management, as well as external stakeholders, including the University, investment managers, custodian banks, and other service providers. Successful candidates must be collaborative in nature and demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritize workflow.
Responsibilities include:
  • Cash Management & Reconciliation: Prepare and distribute the firm's daily cash report, providing a critical view into liquidity and upcoming funding needs, reconcile daily cash activity against custodian records and communicate directly with the custodian to resolve discrepancies, initiate time-sensitive, high-value wire transfers
  • Investment Accounting, Valuation, & Reporting: Prepare monthly shareholder account statements and serve as a primary point of contact for shareholder inquiries, maintaining strong working relationships across all pool participants, contribute to pricing and valuation efforts across the portfolio, supporting accurate and timely internal and external reporting, analyze legal agreements to identify key manager terms and translate findings into meaningful insights
  • Audit, Tax, & Operational Support: Support the annual audit process, including workpaper preparation and auditor coordination, assist UVIMCO's tax and compliance function by processing documents and consulting with external preparers, contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems as part of the team's ongoing technology initiatives

  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration, or related quantitative field
  • One to two years of relevant professional experience preferred; candidates with strong internship experience will also be considered
