Job description

Overview of Position - This position is onsite in Alsip, Il and is not eligible for hybrid work

Kennicott Grab & Go Floral Programs is looking for an Order Operations Analyst to own the sourcing, ordering, and systems side of the business. This role is built for someone who can bring structure and efficiency to a fast-moving program. The Order Operations Analyst will work closely with the Manager and VP, feeding a steady weekly and seasonal pipeline of vendor offers while identifying ways to improve how the program runs.

Floral industry knowledge is not required and can be learned. What matters is the ability to organize complex information, manage vendors and orders with discipline, and bring a sharper, more digital approach to how orders are managed.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with farm and supply vendors supporting the Grab & Go program.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming vendor communication, pricing updates, and availability.
  • Follow up directly with vendors on delays, shortages, or fulfillment issues.
  • Request credits from vendors and track them through to resolution.

Offer Pipeline Management

  • Collect and organize incoming vendor offerings into a single, consistent format.
  • Feed a steady weekly and seasonal pipeline of curated offers for the Manager and VP to select from for retail guides.
  • Maintain both the working data and presentation-ready views of the offering pipeline, keeping records current so decisions can be made quickly as availability changes.
  • Place all purchase orders based on finalized selections and track every order through to delivery.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Develop a thorough working understanding of the current order management system, end to end.
  • Bring an eye toward improving processes — questioning how things are currently done and proposing better, more digital ways of working.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong process improvement mindset, comfortable questioning how things are done and proposing better systems.
  • Working knowledge of order management systems, or the ability to learn one quickly and thoroughly.
  • Tech-confident and curious, eager to explore new tools and smarter ways of working.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and data organization) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendor relationships and deadlines at once.
  • Clear, direct communication style, comfortable working closely with a Manager and VP.

Education/Experience Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or operations preferred, though not required with equivalent experience
  2. 3 to 5 years of experience in operations, purchasing, supply chain, or vendor management
  3. Experience with an ERP or order management system preferred, ideally in distribution, wholesale, or perishables
  4. Exposure to process improvement or systems implementation is a strong plus
