How You Can Make an Impact
Geneva Trading is seeking an Operations Analyst to join our Operations team in our Chicago office. As a key member of the Operations team, you will work closely with our traders and be an integral part of improving our workflow through automation. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background and excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
What You'll Do
  • Perform daily trading reconciliations and other post-trade activities, including investigating and identifying the root cause of trade breaks.
  • Manage monthly invoice reconciliation with exchanges, clearing firms, and other counterparties.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our proprietary systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Liase between clearing firms and traders. Overseeing the execution of position, trade, and cash transfers.
  • Model, analyze, and optimize existing and new tools.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance automation, streamline workflows, and improve data processing efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of analytical models to provide insight into the firm's various trading activities.
  • Work directly with traders and senior management on escalated operational issues.
  • Partner with our accounting department to ensure that they receive detailed reconciliation reports.
  • Manage external vendor relationships.
  • Manage ad hoc projects and requests on a day-to-day basis.

What You'll Need
  • BS degree in a STEM-related field of study with a solid academic record required.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in high-pressure situations to meet demanding deadlines.
  • 2+ years' experience - financial services experience is required.
  • Experience utilizing modern AI tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), or basic Python-based data libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) to build automated workflows or analyze large datasets is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with SQL/SQL Server is strongly desired.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve complex issues.
  • Solid understanding of traditional financial markets.

Benefits and Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 + Eligible for performance based bonus
The final salary determination will be dependent on the successful candidate's skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
