Job description

Eventive Sports is a leader in sports event management, overseeing premier events including the Regions Tradition, Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, Magic City Classic, UFL, and gameday operations for The University of Alabama, Auburn University, The University of Oklahoma, Alabama State University and the Rose Bowl Stadium. In partnership with the University of Oklahoma, Eventive Sports manages public tailgating on the North Oval.

We are seeking a motivated assistant to support gameday tailgate operations and help deliver an exceptional fan experience. This hands-on role is ideal for students interested in sports management, event operations, or hospitality. Availability on home football gamedays is required, typically Friday and Saturday (or Thursday and Friday for Friday games).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties may include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Oval public tailgate management
  • Interact with tailgaters to ensure positive experience
  • Support tailgaters unloading personal tailgate equipment
  • Oversight of event staff – access control, emergency response, security
  • Operational duties – signage, equipment, etc.
  • Collection and analysis of key tailgate metrics
  • Work with vendors to ensure quality service is provided
  • Observe the fan experience and provide improvement ideas
  • Other duties as assigned

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Self-motivated & team oriented
  • Energetic, outgoing personality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Interest in sports and/or a career in the sports industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Willingness to do manual labor & ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Willingness to work all 7 University of Oklahoma home games & long hours

Expected Hours:

  • Hours are anticipated to be 30 hours per week during home game weeks
  • Hours during away game & off weeks will vary
