Job Summary:
Lockton values its relationships with insurance carriers and wholesale intermediaries and has a dedicated team focused on strengthening market engagement through data-driven insights, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence. We are seeking a curious, analytical, and highly adaptable professional to join our team.
This role offers exposure to market strategy, data analytics, executive communications, and carrier engagement activities across Lockton's Risk Solutions business. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, developing presentations, and collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn the insurance marketplace while supporting strategic initiatives that impact Lockton's relationships with key market partners.
Success in this role requires a balance of analytical rigor and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with both internal business leaders and external market partners, translating complex data into actionable insights, and contributing to meaningful discussions that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Lifecycle Management:Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company standards.
  • Compensation Analysis:Evaluate compensation agreements, identify trends and opportunities, and present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership and market partners.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:Develop performance insights, facilitate discussions with market and internal stakeholders, and communicate progress toward strategic objectives.
  • Market Feedback & Relationship Support:Solicit and analyze feedback from Series and product line leaders to identify opportunities to enhance carrier engagement, operational effectiveness, and partnership value.
  • Data Mining & Market Intelligence:Extract and analyze MAP and loss data to generate competitive insights. Partner with data and analytics teams to understand emerging capabilities and evaluate opportunities to leverage them for market-facing initiatives.
  • Market Analysis:Monitor and report changes in operations, personnel, market strategies, and financial performance for assigned carrier partners.
  • Supplemental Compensation Tracking:Analyze changes in supplemental compensation programs and monitor alignment with budget objectives.
  • Ad Hoc Analytics & Executive Reporting:Complete ad hoc analytics requests in support of market management activities, including preparing executive-ready presentations, summaries, and reporting for leadership meetings and annual surveys.
  • Data Governance:Participate in data governance activities related to market data, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
  • P&C Data Models:Build competency in understanding P&C data models and insurance marketplace dynamics to enhance analytical capabilities and business insights.
  • Operational Excellence:Identify and contribute to opportunities that improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness across market management and market security functions.
  • Market Meetings & Stakeholder Engagement:Participate in carrier and internal stakeholder meetings, provide analytical insights, document key outcomes, respond to inquiries, and support follow-through on strategic initiatives.
  • Compensation Tracking:Track actual versus expected compensation against budget objectives on a quarterly basis.
  • Relationship Management:Develop and maintain productive working relationships with carrier partners, wholesale intermediaries, and internal stakeholders to support mutual business objectives and strengthen market engagement efforts.

Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in data analytics, financial analysis, insurance operations, business consulting, client services, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, charts, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable business recommendations.
  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build credibility and establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for executive leadership, business partners, and external market contacts.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative, proactive, and relationship-focused professional who thrives in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Presentation Skills: Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations, facilitating discussions, and communicating insights to leadership audiences.
