New Tech Global is currently seeking an Account Manager in Sugar Land.

The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day accounting operations of the credit union, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. This leadership role is responsible for managing accounting staff, optimizing accounting processes, and supporting the organization's financial health, operational efficiency, and commitment to exceptional member service.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a credit union or financial institution
  • At least one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience managing and developing team members
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial institution accounting practices, and internal controls
  • Knowledge of credit union regulations and experience preparing NCUA Call Reports preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software and core processing systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information
  • Successful completion of a credit check required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting team members, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and workflow coordination
  • Manage daily accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end closing activities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor effective internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and presentations for executive leadership and management
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, system efficiencies, automation, and overall operational effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and credit union policies
