What we need:
The Sr Accountant is a high performing contributor that is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role involves analyzing complex financial information, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
What you'll do:
  • Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation for accounts with greater complexity that are managed by the department.
  • Create and analyze accounting reports for distribution and reporting and prepare spreadsheets used for analytical information.
  • Establish and maintain account information systems that provide a quick reference database of records, department transactions, releases information, etc., according to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members with more complex transactions and reconciliation issues.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, balance sheets, general ledgers, and other financial records involving cash, plant payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and inventories.
  • Facilitates Accounting and Finance goals and objectives by assisting with the development of forecasted high risk areas such as bad debt reserve and revenue recognition.
  • Identify critical factors affecting profitability as they relate to significant reserves and ensuring appropriate communication takes place at leadership level when any changes in methodology are recommended.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on audit matters related to revenue recognition and collection of significant reserve accounts.
  • Oversee quality assurance of analytical work performed within the business units ensuring accuracy, consistency of methodologies, and documentation of procedures in accordance with corporate internal control, GAAP, and other regulatory guidelines and agencies.
  • Follow industry and economic change and trends and determine potential impact on the business revenue and sales potential, as well as customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What you have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 4-6 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • CPA certification preferred.

What you're good at:
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
  • Proficient in SAP systems.
