Accounting Specialist

Location: National Fleet Management Headquarters – Greensboro, NC
Work Location: On-Site
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Compensation: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience

With full-service repair facilities, a growing mobile service operation, and continued expansion into new markets, we're looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting team at our Greensboro, NC Headquarters. This is a full-time, on-site position.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a well-rounded accounting background who enjoys learning different functions, solving problems, and being part of a team. We're looking for someone who brings grit, accuracy, accountability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

What You'll Do

The Accounting Specialist will support multiple areas of the Accounting department based on business needs and will be cross-trained across key functions.

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with invoice processing, coding, payment posting, and account maintenance.
  • Perform account and vendor reconciliations and research discrepancies.
  • Assist with customer billing, payment follow-up, and account resolution as needed.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close, reporting, audits, and other accounting activities.
  • Work with Operations and other departments to research and resolve accounting issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes.
  • Cross-train across Accounting functions and provide coverage where needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, or related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes.
  • Experience in more than one accounting function is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software; Karmak experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn, cross-train, and step in where the Accounting team needs support.
