The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role will manage core accounting processes, maintain internal controls, and support strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

What You Will Own:
Core Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Own the day-to-day accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.

Financial Infrastructure & Process Development
  • Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies to support a scaling startup.
  • Implement and optimize accounting systems, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and analyze variances to help leadership understand company performance.

Cross-Functional Support & External Coordination
  • Partner with leadership and operational teams to ensure financial processes align with business needs.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory partners for audits, filings, and compliance.

What You Will Need:
Required
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, with preference for Sage Intacct
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability

Bonus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Prior public accounting or Big Four experience
