IT Manager I - Automation and AI Corporate Technology and Governance

What you'll do:
As an Automation and AI IT Manager, for the Corporate Technology and Governance (CTG), you will serve as a subject matter expert and delivery leader responsible for building, implementing, and supporting automation and AI solutions for the (CTG) organization. Reporting to the IT Director of Automation and AI, this role is accountable for executing CTG specific automation and AI initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce operational risk, and enhance data driven decision making across CTG owned functions.
This role focuses on hands on delivery and team leadership, translating CTG priorities into working automation and AI solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, data, and compliance standards. You will manage a small to mid sized technical team and work closely with CTG stakeholders, architecture, security, data partners, and approved vendors to deliver solutions on time and with high quality.
  • Design, build, test, and implement automation and AI solutions supporting CTG functions, including IT governance, risk and compliance, identity and access management, service management, operational resilience, and corporate systems oversight.
  • Execute CTG automation and AI initiatives by translating approved use cases and requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions.
  • Manage a small to mid-sized technology team, including work assignment, coaching, and ensuring consistent execution and delivery quality.
  • Partner closely with CTG business and technology leaders to understand process gaps, identify automation opportunities, and refine solution requirements.
  • Apply CTG and enterprise standards for automation and AI, including documentation, change management, monitoring, access controls, and supportability.
  • Ensure automation and AI solutions incorporate appropriate controls for auditability, exception handling, resiliency, and operational continuity.
  • Analyze delivery metrics, automation performance, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and report outcomes to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, runbooks, and operating procedures for delivered solutions.
  • Assist the IT Director of Automation and AI with continuous improvement initiatives, tooling evaluations, and implementation of CTG-specific standards.
  • Implement safety procedures, data protection practices, and recovery approaches for CTG automation and AI solutions.
  • Support team development, performance management, and resource planning to maintain a capable and engaged delivery team.
  • Help create project plans, remove execution impediments, and track progress to ensure successful completion of CTG priorities and goals.

What you'll need:
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, including application development, automation, analytics, or related technology disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or a related field required.
  • Prior experience leading or managing a small to mid-sized technology team.
  • Intermediate experience designing and delivering automation or AI-enabled solutions within a defined functional scope.
  • Intermediate understanding of financial services or similarly regulated environments preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of regulatory, security, and compliance expectations applicable to IT solutions.
  • Experience delivering technology solutions using execution KPIs, milestones, and defined timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize findings and outcomes in clear, actionable communications.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • May require up to 25% travel.
