Position Location: Huntsville, AL
Who are you?
Security-cleared Professional: You have made it through the process of receiving a United States government security clearance - congratulations! We know you are a trustworthy intel professional because you have a TS/SCI Clearance.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, system administration, or DevOps-related role.
The ideal candidate will have foundational experience with Linux systems, cloud service providers, and scripting languages, and a strong desire to grow their technical skill set in a DevOps and cloud engineering environment. Other requirements include:
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and IaaS concepts.
  • Basic proficiency in Linux system administration and command-line operations.
  • Basic experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Understanding of basic networking and system monitoring concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with open-source monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Zabbix, Prometheus).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:
The DevOps Engineer supports cloud-based environments and DevSecOps infrastructure. This role involves supporting the design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing operations of modern, automated IT infrastructure.
  • Assists in the design, deployment, and testing of DevSecOps infrastructure tools.
  • Performs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) duties for a suite of cloud-based and DevOps tools.
  • Supports patching, upgrades, and certification processes for system components, support libraries, and application dependencies.
  • Deploys and configure services using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers.
  • Configures and manage Linux-based servers to support dynamic websites and application environments.
  • Troubleshoots and debug cluster-based computing architectures and container orchestration systems.
  • Uses scripting or basic programming (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and solve operational problems.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains open-source monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
  • Addresses interoperability issues between various tools, systems, and platforms in the DevOps toolchain.
