WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Commercial Portfolio Risk Associate is responsible for monitoring and supporting the management of commercial dealer portfolio risk, including floorplan performance, collateral exposure, aged inventory, overlines, financial reporting, and legal documentation. This role reviews assigned dealer account information, identifies emerging risk indicators, supports risk mitigation activities, and partners with internal stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on portfolio risk action plans. The position applies working knowledge of commercial credit, dealer operations, and floorplan risk management to support sound risk decisions and protect company assets.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
1. Dealer Portfolio Risk Monitoring and Follow-Up
  • Monitor assigned dealer portfolio activity, including past due audits, monthly curtailments, floorplan interest, insurance premiums, vehicle overlines, and aged inventory.
  • Identify account-level risk indicators and escalate potential exposure concerns, trends, or exceptions to Commercial Dealer Risk leadership.
  • Coordinate with dealers, sales teams, Commercial Risk partners, and portfolio analysts to support timely resolution of risk action plan milestones.
  • Track follow-up activities and ensure required documentation, payments, or corrective actions are completed in accordance with established timelines and risk procedures.

2. Credit Review Support and Risk Assessment
  • Perform periodic reviews of high-risk accounts and watch-list dealerships, including analysis of collateral position, financial statements, reporting trends, credit lines, UCC filings, insurance coverage, aged inventory, and overline exposure.
  • Evaluate portfolio data and account documentation to identify current or emerging credit risk, operational risk, or collateral concerns.
  • Prepare summaries of review findings and support recommendations for risk mitigation, account monitoring, or escalation.
  • Maintain accurate review documentation to support portfolio oversight, audit readiness, and management reporting.

3. Risk Documentation and Legal Coordination
  • Support the preparation, review, and coordination of commercial risk documentation in partnership with HCA Legal and internal Commercial Risk stakeholders.
  • Assist with documentation needed for dealer risk mitigation, collateral protection, credit line changes, or other account-level actions.
  • Ensure required legal and risk documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with established policies, procedures, and approval requirements.

4. Commercial Risk Reporting and Data Support
  • Support the development, maintenance, and accuracy of commercial operations and portfolio risk reporting.
  • Compile and validate portfolio data related to account performance, risk trends, documentation status, overlines, aged inventory, and other risk indicators.
  • Provide reporting updates and analysis to support management visibility into portfolio performance and emerging risk areas.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in automotive finance, commercial credit, floorplan lending, portfolio risk, credit operations, or a related financial services environment.
  • Experience reviewing dealer or commercial account activity, collateral exposure, credit documentation, reporting, or portfolio risk indicators.
  • Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders to support account follow-up, documentation, reporting, or risk action plan activities.

Preferred :
  • Prior experience in captive automotive finance, commercial dealer risk, wholesale finance, or floorplan portfolio support.
  • Familiarity with financial statement review and commercial credit documentation.
  • Experience using Datascan systems, including Wholesale Intelligence and Risk Gauge.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar workflow, portfolio, or customer relationship management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of commercial credit, floorplan lending, dealer operations, and portfolio risk concepts.
  • Ability to review financial statements, collateral data, credit documentation, aged inventory, overlines, and related risk indicators.
  • Ability to identify account-level risk concerns, summarize findings, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and follow-up tracking.
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and stakeholder requests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Crowe Navigator, Datascan, Wholesale Intelligence, Risk Gauge, Salesforce, or similar credit/risk systems preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, dealers, and business partners.
