SUMMARY: The Breeder Operations Manager directs and coordinates the Breeder Operations in the assigned area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Directs Breeder Department operations to ensure the required quantity and quality of hatch eggs are available for hatcheries
  • Implements and monitors all pullet and breeder production programs
  • Directs programs for growing pullets and breeders for all contract growers
  • Monitors the development of all contract pullet and breeder growers as well as the development of the pullet placements, moves, vaccinations and sales to ensure proper hatch egg numbers
  • Reports performance and cost numbers to accounting and upper management
  • Provides oversight and management of Assistant Breeder Manager and Service Tech team
  • Other duties as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent & relevant experience AND 5+ years in poultry or related field
    • Previous supervisory experience
  • Preferred
    • Previous Management experience
