Job Title: EVS Operations Manager

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: Evening schedule; open availability required
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Professional Cleaning & Maintenance Services (PCMS) is seeking an experienced and dependable EVS Operations Manager to oversee daily environmental services operations throughout the Baton Rouge region.

This position is responsible for leading employees and facility supervisors, maintaining staffing coverage, monitoring service quality, responding to customer concerns, and ensuring all assigned facilities meet PCMS cleaning, safety, and operational standards.

This position will primarily work an evening schedule. However, this is a leadership position requiring open availability. The Operations Manager may occasionally need to report earlier, remain later, or assist during weekends based on operational needs, call-outs, inspections, or customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily EVS operations across multiple facilities in the Baton Rouge region
  • Lead, coach, and hold facility supervisors and frontline employees accountable
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly
  • Coordinate staffing coverage for call-outs, vacancies, and other operational needs
  • Monitor employee schedules, attendance, overtime, and timecard accuracy
  • Ensure employees follow proper cleaning, disinfecting, safety, and infection-prevention procedures
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer concerns
  • Follow up on complaints and verify that all issues have been fully resolved
  • Confirm facilities have the necessary chemicals, supplies, equipment, and staffing
  • Partner with Human Resources and Learning & Development regarding hiring, training, performance, and corrective action
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees and leaders
  • Maintain accurate operational reports, documentation, and follow-up notes
  • Support emergency coverage and special projects when needed
  • Ensure employees comply with company policies and facility-specific requirements
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, employees, and leadership

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience in environmental services, janitorial operations, housekeeping, healthcare support services, or a related field
  • Experience overseeing multiple employees, shifts, or facilities preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to address performance and attendance concerns professionally
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
  • Comfortable using email, scheduling systems, mobile applications, and digital reporting tools
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between assigned facilities
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be available to work evenings and adjust the schedule based on operational needs
  • Healthcare EVS or medical-facility cleaning experience is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform routine cleaning demonstrations
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds when necessary
