What you bring to the table

Beck is looking for a qualified Operations Manager to join an extraordinary project team in. While this is an individual role, you will be involved in many facets of construction with the ability to evolve our existing operations. As the Operations Manager, you are primarily responsible for business development, organization, project financials, schedule, risk management, quality, overall cost control, and client relationships and needs. You also maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc. in order to accomplish the best economical, safe, and expeditious execution of the work. You will be designated the lead Operations Manager over vertical projects over $100 million in scope, multiple projects, integrated projects, or projects of a very complex nature.

The position involves the following essential functions:

  • Supervise the work and development of the project team
  • Establish operational priorities and work methods
  • Business unit niche in vertical construction
  • Prepare business plan
  • Financial report of business unit
  • Business Development and client interviews to help win projects
  • Active in professional organization Serves on outside committee or board

You also meet the following required skills and experience:

  • Understands the successful pre-project planning effects on the delivery of a project
  • Client development and relationship management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams
  • 20+ years of commercial construction experience
  • College graduate with relevant degree
  • Experience in Commercial Construction required
  • Experience using Excel, Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, and Revit or comparable construction technologies is a plus

Physical Demands:

Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment; frequently ascends/descends ladders and stairs; constantly works in various outdoor weather conditions; frequently moves equipment up to 50Ibs to various locations on site; constantly communicates with subcontractors, vendors, and other members of project team; ability to constantly move around job site on uneven surfaces; Spends much of the day standing. Ability to adhere to consistent and timely attendance.
