Job description

Salary Range: $192,150.40 - $269,006.40

Summary of Duties: The Nurse Manager is an operational manager designated as the leader for a specified nursing area or areas, its patient population and assigned staff, who has 24 hour responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operations, and staff competency. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.

Education Requirements

  • Graduate from a school of nursing with a current California RN license.
  • BSN Required.
  • MSN Preferred.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Current California RN license.
  • BLS required.
  • Certification within area and/or administrative certification preferred.
  • Membership in appropriate professional organization required.

Experience Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical nursing practice with a minimum of two years experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in management as either first line or shift manager with minimum one year experience.

Special Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
