Full job description:

Liberty Mechanical, LLC is a Commercial HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping company dedicated to installing quality mechanical systems throughout Tennessee. Our mission is to provide high quality at a great price and be a best-in-class destination employer of the highest-skilled tradespeople. We specialize in construction projects valued between $200,000 and $4 million.

The role ofOperations Manager is ideal for candidates who are high achievers with documented experience in Commercial and Industrial - HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Piping and Electrical and have excelled in their current roles as project manager, project executive, and operations, including those who may be next in line at their current employer and ready to step into an operations management role. This role is pivotal in managing our employees and customers, procuring materials and equipment, logistics, staffing, training, overseeing CAD preconstruction, managing licensure compliance, business development and client retention and growing the careers of our field personnel.

SALARY RANGE: $140,000-160,000/YEAR

Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:

  • Oversee all construction operations and manage our employees and customer relationships.
  • Oversee materials and equipment purchasing and the team that handles logistics and timing.
  • Manage staffing and training
  • Oversee CAD preconstruction and ensure licensure compliance of our field team.
  • Create career paths and growth opportunities and lead department-wide employee performance reviews.
  • Grow the team of leaders and onboard and attract new people into the trades.
  • Interview and hire for all construction field positions
  • Oversee daily operation of ductwork / piping Fabrication department.
  • Anticipate / Head-off potential schedule conflicts, project disruptions with Project Team.
  • Accountable for the accuracy & timeliness of daily time submission for field employees at the end of their shift.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Piping and Electrical construction experience working for a subcontractor that works for or with General Contractors or Construction Managers, OR equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing office and field staff for plumbing and HVAC trades
