Account Manager, IQVIA Medical Communications
IQVIA Medical Communications is seeking an Account Manager to lead the day to day delivery of selected projects and programs in our global business.

Role Objective:
  • Reporting to the Associate Director, Client Services, this role leads the day to day delivery of selected projects and programs, coordinating an internal team to deliver high quality deliverables, according to timelines and budget. Key responsibilities include:

Growth
  • Contribute to the financial performance of allocated projects / programs and drive profitable delivery through accurate financial management. Ensure accurate scoping of projects, development of high quality budgets, support identification and development of project change notices / change orders
  • Support accurate invoicing, revenue and new business recognition, and ensure thorough project close out
  • Regularly review financial health of projects and resolve any challenges in collaboration with Account Management colleagues
  • Maintain awareness of, and contribute to delivering where appropriate, Account Growth Plans that drive organic expansion and new business
  • Where appropriate, contribute to strategic pricing initiatives as required to ensure inclusion of IMC services within IQVIA pricing tools

Client Relationships and Business Development
  • Form trusted and effective relationships with clients, acting as the day to day point of contact for project delivery discussions
  • Prepare for and lead client project status discussions including preparing meeting agendas, coordinating speakers, arranging calls and distributing high quality reports
  • Communicate with clients around budgets, project change notices and reconciliations
  • Handle challenging conversations / negotiations as required
  • As required, support the development of proposals and sales / bid defence presentations, presenting appropriate elements as required
  • Develop understanding of the relevant therapeutic landscape pertaining to client accounts, and develop subject matter expertise in identified service areas relevant the Practice Area
  • As required, work with Account Management leaders to advocate for, and protect, inclusion of IMC services into study proposals, budgets and contracts

Quality
  • Coordinate account, project and program teams to develop and deliver high quality programs that are delivered with excellence, on time and on budget, ensuring strong client feedback and enabling organic growth
  • Manage the operational aspects of projects and programs, ensuring that all project work is completed in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices. Contribute as required to initiatives to deliver operational enhancements
  • Develop clear scopes of work for new projects and brief clearly to delivery teams to enable successful execution of the project to the brief, timelines and budget
  • Create, track and report on project timelines, ensuring regular updates and working with teams to update as the project evolves
  • Proactively identify and address scheduling / delivery challenges across the team, working collaboratively to find solutions
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of IMC financial processes, ensuring accurate, documented financial management of our projects and programs
  • Manage project budgets and raise, approve and track invoices
  • Produce and distribute status, tracking and financial reports for internal and external team members and senior management
  • Take responsibility for customer satisfaction for account (s), identifying areas for improvement and ensuring action to address

Internal Collaboration
  • Monitor and coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams and project resources within and outside the organisation
  • Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met
  • Lead problem solving and resolution efforts.
  • Train and mentor junior staff.
  • Prepare and present project information at internal team meetings
  • Partner with appropriate team members to identify, suggest, input into and implement process improvements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required
  • 7 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency environment required.
  • Sound understanding of biopharmaceutical lifecycle strategy as it pertains to allocated Practice Area(s), and Practice Area services and solutions
  • Sound communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively through others in a global environment to deliver results
  • Good leadership skills in a matrix environment and able to guide and mentor junior staff
  • Sound understanding of business strategy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $92,300.00 - $230,900.00. Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
