Job Summary:
At Rembrandt Foods you will work in a fast-paced egg processing environment. As a key member of the operations management team the Operations Management Trainee will gain exposure to all facets of egg processing: Operations, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Safety, Human Resources, Accounting and Sales. The intent of this position is to train to you to become a shift supervisor within 6-12 months. Operations Management trainees may work varying hours and shifts as we are a 24/7 operation. This position is located in Rembrandt, Iowa.
Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Shadows supervisors and employees to learn all areas of the processing facility
โ€ข Leads projects as assigned
โ€ข Collaborates across functions
โ€ข Establishes measurable criteria to ensure desired results are obtained and provides management with updates via tracking reports reflective of Key Performance Indicators in line with set priorities and timing targets
โ€ข Identifies training needs for facilities and assists in the deployment of agreed to training techniques, content, and timing
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, agricultural science, poultry science food science or other related fields
โ€ข Right to work in the U.S. that is not solely based on a student visa or sponsorship
โ€ข Must be willing to and provide their own transportation
โ€ข Must be willing to work on all shifts and on the weekends
โ€ข Ability to work with a diverse set of employees and backgrounds.
โ€ข Must possess a high degree of resourcefulness and be able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Previous co-op, internship, or related experience in a manufacturing plant environment
โ€ข Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher
โ€ข Bilingual (Spanish)
