Job description

ADL Fall 2026 Internship Description

ADLโ€™s San Diego Regional Operations team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from September 14 to December 18, 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with administrative support, social media, and operational tasks. The Regional Program and Operations Intern will work directly with Regional Staff on projects relating to community outreach, events and programming, and other duties as assigned. 

Application portals will close at 12PM ET on August 14th, 2026. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-August.


Primary:

  • Conduct outreach to community members and organizations on an ADL issue of concern and program on antisemitism.
  • Provide administrative support for special education, fundraising and community.
  • Events, programs and board and volunteer meetings.
  • Assist Regional Staff in implementing marketing initiatives, including regular updates of social media and websites.
  • Support Regional Team with operational tasks, including communication and other duties.

Requirements

  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Passion for non-profit work 
  • Desire to start building career within non-profit sector

Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to ADLโ€™s mission.
  • Discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation and Hours

  • This internship is paid at local minimum wage or 15/hr (whichever is higher).
  • The internship is 15 hours per week. 
  • This internship will be hybrid, with on-site presence required in the ADL San Diego office.

  • You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
  • You will have practical, hands-on experience with community outreach, events and programming.
  • Collaborate with, meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to โ€œstop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.โ€
