This Position reports to:

Service Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Digitalization & Quality Intern to support Motion Service (MOSE) across digitalization, data, and quality improvement initiatives. This role combines technical execution (programming, reporting, automation) with operational excellence and quality support, including process mapping and work instruction development. The intern will work closely with Operations, Quality, and IT stakeholders to improve process clarity, consistency, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites used for MOSE Business documentation and collaboration
  • Assist in the creation and enhancement of Power BI dashboards, including data connections to enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, internal ABB tools)
  • Support data analysis and reporting automation for operational metrics, KPIs, and expense tracking
  • Contribute to the design or prototyping of simple automation or AIassisted solutions
  • Support process mapping of key operational workflows (endtoend and detailed level)
  • Assist in documenting asis and tobe processes in collaboration with Operations and Quality teams
  • Develop, review, and update work instructions, procedures, and supporting documentation
  • Ensure documentation aligns with ABB quality, safety, and operational standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization
  • Help maintain clear version control and structure for operational and quality documentation
  • Strong programming foundation (core requirement), with experience or coursework in one or more of the following: Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar
  • Comfort working with data, systems, and structured problemsolving
  • Ability to translate business or operational needs into clear documentation and technical outputs

Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint or Microsoft 365 tools
  • Exposure to Power BI, data analytics, or reporting
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools or methodologies (e.g., flowcharts, swim lanes, SIPOC)
  • Interest in quality systems, operational excellence, or continuous improvement
  • Strong written communication skills for work instruction and procedure writing
  • Student enrolled in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
