Business Leadership Program Internship Overview:

Synchrony's Business Leadership Program Summer Internship is a 10-week paid assignment in one of our 10 Tracks. During the summer, each BLP Intern is provided with project work that is important to our business, and we'll look to you to challenge us and contribute to driving innovation for our future. Beyond the assignment, BLPs gain the full Synchrony Experience with an immersive orientation during Week 1, the Intern Summer Series to meet and network with leaders around the business, and ongoing support from a team and mentors who are invested in your success.


Operations BLP Internship Experience: What You'll Accomplish


This internship is for students who are looking to get a critical jump start on a career in Operations, working side by side with our experts in the function to gain valuable hands-on experience. You'll gain exposure to many key business areas under our umbrella: Servicing, Collections, Recovery, Fraud, Security, Analytics, Surveillance, Customer Solutions, Technology, and Operational Governance, just to name a few.

In the Operations BLP Internship, you will

  • Gain critical insight into our customer experience throughcustomer interaction assessments,performance trending and analysis reviews, servicing technology launches, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Sharpen analytical skills via the development of strategic operational plans, workforce capacity strategies, and cost/benefit assessments.

  • Strengthen critical project, process and people management skills.

  • Collaborate with peers in Technology on periodic initiatives and activities

Basic Qualifications & Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field of business (Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Logistics, Marketing, etc.)

  • Excellent academic record - Minimum overall 3.0 GPA

  • Available for 10 consecutive weeks during Internship (June - August)

  • Must be able to work minimum of 40 hour week


Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • Geographic mobility: Ability to relocate based on program or business direction

At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices.You will be required to commute to your nearestHub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regularbusiness or team meetings, training and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
