Support CenterIf you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Operational Excellence Advisor for our Operational Excellence Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As an Operational Excellence Advisor, you will:
Facilitates improvement teams through the life cycle of a project. The Advisor is the subject matter expert on improvement methodologies and imparts knowledge of improvement processes to project teams. Assists the team leader in identifying barriers to implementing improvement plans and developing strategies to overcome these barriers.
Execute on Rapid Improvement events. Develops the analytic and measurement strategy for all projects undertaken, including the development of key performance indicators, identification of data sources, and collection of baseline data.
Communicates regularly with team leader, members, and executive sponsors about team progress toward goal achievement, critical factors, and obstacles.
Rapidly identifies, problem-solves, and communicates to the Director of Operational Excellence any issues that are interfering with project deadlines or project scope.
Engages in special projects targeted at achieving key strategic goals at the request of senior leadership.
Builds and maintains strong strategic relationships with pillar and entity leads, assuming the role of a critical business partner, utilizing LSS in solving business issues and aligning improvement efforts with strategic priorities.
Assesses need for and provides just-in-time coaching or referral to training program for Quality Advisors, leadership, and teams.
Assesses process management maturity and moves teams forward toward managing by process for excellence.
Identifies areas for alignment and collaboration across the system and brings teams together
Provides input on curriculum content and presentation opportunities for improvement
Conducts formal process improvement training forums as requested to support organizational development
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's degree preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
A minimum of 3 years of Lean Six Sigma and project experience, and 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting is required
Proven ability to act as a leadership change agent & constructively challenge current thinking/resistance
Minimum of five years in a Lean Six Sigma transformation and/ or Baldrige working environment required
Internal consulting experience supporting multi-entity health systems preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects
Ability to monitor, analyze, and present performance data and design and implement process-related action plans to improve performance or adherence to standards or regulations
Experience with Design for Six Sigma, DMADV, DMAIC, and Quick Wins required.
Proven experience facilitating Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Process Mapping, 5S workshops, and Root Cause Analysis sessions required
Experience teaching healthcare Lean Six Sigma principles required
Must have advanced leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully serve as a coach and mentor to Black Belts and Green Belts
Advanced level competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio required
Experience utilizing statistical analysis software, such as Minitab, is required
Experience with the Malcolm Baldrige framework in a healthcare setting is required. Baldrige Examiner training preferred

Pay Range:

$89,356.80 - $134,035.20

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
