Job description

Job Title: Operations Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Operations Data Analyst to join our clientโ€™s team in a hybrid role based in Oakland or Sacramento, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for data professionals with strong experience in Power BI, SQL, and advanced data analysis to support operational reporting and business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage routine data analysis projects from initial request through delivery
  • Process, analyze, and interpret operational data
  • Develop automated data routines and reporting processes
  • Create and manage data extracts and list pulls
  • Transfer and prepare data for operational analysis teams
  • Build ad hoc reports, trend analysis, statistics, and data profiles
  • Perform data cleansing and ensure data accuracy
  • Present clear, concise, and actionable findings to stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of related work experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, graphing, VBA)
  • Experience writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate
  • Experience with UNIX shell scripting (csh, awk, sed, vi)
  • Knowledge of Base SAS
  • Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, or C
  • Experience building large-scale automation/reporting solutions
