What You’ll Do

You will oversee full‑cycle accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Core responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable Management — Invoicing, collections follow up, aging review, and cash application across multiple entities.

  • Accounts Payable & Vendor Management — Invoice coding, approval routing, payment processing, and vendor coordination.

  • Payroll Processing & Compliance — Multi‑entity payroll execution and preparation of payroll tax filings at federal, state, and local levels.

  • Budgeting & Variance Analysis — Support budget preparation and provide meaningful variance insights to leadership.

  • Month‑End Close & Financial Statements — Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Audit Support — Prepare schedules, documentation, and responses for external audit engagements.

  • Acquisition Integration Support — Assist with chart of accounts alignment, data migration, and reporting standardization during M&A activity.

  • General Ledger & Reconciliations — Maintain clean, reconciled ledgers and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Cash Flow Monitoring — Track cash positions, forecast needs, and identify emerging trends.

  • Client & Advisor Coordination — Communicate professionally with client leadership teams, CPAs, tax advisors, and legal partners.

  • Management Reporting — Prepare clear, accurate financial summaries and management reports.

  • Policy & Procedure Maintenance — Document and improve internal accounting processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in multi‑entity or outsourced accounting environments

  • Hands‑on experience with AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger functions

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP

  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High integrity and commitment to confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Experience supporting external audits

  • Exposure to M&A or acquisition integration

  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or Gusto
