Summaryย 

The Operation Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation and logistics department. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation and logistics processes are in place.ย 

Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

  • Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficientlyย 

  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are metย 

  • Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitabilityย 

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation servicesย 

  • Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessaryย 

  • Conduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulationsย 

  • Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to managementย 

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operationsย 

Educational background / Work experienceย 

  • A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.ย 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required. Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.ย
