Position Title: Operations Manager, Air and Ocean Freight

Location: Rosedale, NY

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 year of Global Forwarding experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial skills
  • Minimum requirement High School diploma or GED.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Being able to work independently and part of a team
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have great organizational skills
  • Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills

Responsibilities:

  • Manage air freight and ocean freight operations for both Export and Import.
  • Supervise overall operational quality and streamline working process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • To assist sales development and provide in-house support
  • Communicate and coordinate with overseas and agent partners on R/Os together with Supervisor.
  • Negotiate with carriers, vendors, and utilize alternatives to improve overall consolidation costs to maximize profitability, as well as maintaining service efficiency
  • At the same time, work closely with Customer Service management to establish and implement SOP for all key and MNC accounts to meet expectation
  • Adhere to compliance of all transportation and security regulations.
  • Responsible for completion of air export/ air import month end closing
  • Continue to be part of our IT local seed member
  • Coordinate with the management to execute annual business plan and operating budget.
