Cabinetworks Group is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to join our corporate finance team. Interns will gain an understanding of a Financial Analyst role in a corporate setting; Exposure to leadership and coaching; Satisfaction to see tactical efforts support a broader strategic goal. You will have the opportunity to participate in projects across a variety of finance disciplines. In addition to gaining valuable experience, Cabinetworks Group offers our interns networking, mentoring and community service opportunities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the preparation of the 6+6 forecast and annual budget process.

Retrieve functional spend detail by account from Oracle BI and update functional templates.

Assist the corporate tax team in managing our sales and use tax software

Validate business intelligence data, identify issues and develop corrective actions

Create value-added enhancements to existing reports and processes

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Junior or Senior status at an accredited university by Summer of 2024

Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including an advanced knowledge of excel.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative.

Ability to retrieve financial data from Oracle BI and update excel spreadsheets.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with consolidations and functional department owners.

Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for Extended Periods: The nature of the job involves sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods while performing administrative tasks, using a computer, and engaging in various in-office activities.

  • Computer Use: Proficient use of a computer, including typing, mouse manipulation, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods is essential.

  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers. This may require fine motor skills and dexterity.

  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies, documents, and other materials, typically not exceeding a certain weight limit (e.g., 20 pounds).

  • Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to access filing cabinets, printers, and other office equipment.
