Title: Technical specialist-Z/OS operating system
LocationL: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 months
Position type: W2 contract
 
 
PS:  ***Only qualified Technical Specialist- Expert candidates located near the Raleigh NC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
• Knowledge of Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality (7+ Years)
• Experience providing configuration management / release management support and guidance for Endevor software (7+ Years)
• Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) programming language and techniques (7+ Years)
• Knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2 (7+ Years)
• Ability to evaluate complex SQL queries (7+ Years)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
• Additional skills in middleware and MQ are beneficial
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This request is for a Technical Specialist who will serve as a mainframe expert
• The ideal candidate should have mainframe skills including CICS DB2 Elixir Endevor IMS and JCL
• The candidate should possess thorough knowledge of Z/OS operating system and its interrelationships and functionality
• The ability to provide configuration management /release management support and guidance for Endevor software
• Thorough knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) programming language and techniques
• Thorough knowledge of tools and utilities to support DB2
• The ability to evaluate complex SQL queries and recommend suggestions for better software performance and cost savings
• The ability to provide CICS administration problem-solving and debugging support interfacing with application developers as well as client personnel
