Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for an individual motivated to provide high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule
  • Shift: 3X12s (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) on Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday
  • Requires flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs
Responsibilities
  • Assist in surgical procedures by scrubbing and circulating, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and manage surgical instruments effectively.
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on practice standards.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting is strongly preferred.
  • Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license is required.
  • Current certifications in BLS and a Radiation Badge, which will be provided by the agency.
  • Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient scrub experience is desired.
Miscellaneous
  • Open to accommodating block schedules based on managerial approval and unit needs.
  • Local candidates within a radius of 60 miles may apply on a case-by-case basis.
  • All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval will be based on facility needs.
  • Guaranteed hours are subject to facility policies regarding shift cancellations.

The Operating Room is part of a Level I trauma center and includes 21 OR suites covering various surgical specialties, including trauma and robotics. The team consists of primarily Registered Nurses, emphasizing a nurse-driven, dynamic environment. We are committed to providing cutting-edge technology and care to the communities we serve.
