How to get operating room nurse experience as a nurse?

To gain operating room nurse experience, new nurses should pursue a registered nurse license, complete a perioperative nursing certification such as CNOR, and seek entry-level positions or internships in surgical units. Can I go straight to an operating room nurse with no experience?

Becoming an operating room nurse typically requires prior nursing experience, usually as a registered nurse (RN), along with specialized training in perioperative care.
