Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center's Main Operating Room located on the New Brunswick campus.

Position Overview:

The Operating Room Nurse will deliver exceptional patient care in a surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. This position demands a meticulous and proactive individual who excels in a dynamic setting and is focused on enhancing surgical outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while adhering to ethical guidelines as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • Ensure safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and maintaining awareness of personal knowledge and experience levels.
  • Report any identified safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
  • Maintain knowledge of the patient demographics served.
  • Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
  • Set and assess priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
  • Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an OR RN or a recent graduate of a perioperative 101 program.
