About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN (OR RN / Surgical Nurse / Perioperative RN) for a 13-week contract at a hospital in Flemington, New Jersey (08822). This operating room nurse job is ideal for Registered Nurses with strong circulating skills who want a supportive surgical team and a predictable 4x10 schedule.

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN), Perioperative RN, Surgical Nurse (Contract)
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
  • Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • On-Call: 1 evening per week (11:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and 1–2 weekend 24-hour calls (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) over 15 weeks

Job Requirements (Qualifications)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience as a circulating nurse (perioperative experience required)

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities
  • Circulate for a range of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists
  • Prepare the operating room, set up instruments and supplies, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
  • Perform surgical counts, document intraoperative notes, and ensure accurate perioperative charting
  • Coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and perioperative support staff for efficient patient flow
  • Provide compassionate preoperative and postoperative care and patient advocacy
  • Participate in the on-call rotation per schedule and respond to emergency cases as needed
